VIDEO QC SERVICES
We understand that with QC "One size does not fit all" and depending on the end platform's requirements this could entail several passes with a full written QCReport with TImecodes and File Metadata.along with other requirements. Having Experience and working relationships with some of the top online streaming giants we know thresholds and what to flag for.
Pixelation /Macroblocking
If you're in this industry you've come across Macroblocking or pixelation or som sort of video hit/unwanted artifact. This happens to everyone and anyone. We've seen it introduced in export/transcode and even from a file transfer. It could just be a single frame.
Closed Captioning QC
Timed Text - Often overlooked unless you're someone like my aunt who relies on captions. AI whether we like it or not's here and will play a large part of our day to day. But as of right now it should not be relied upon for captioning as noted above. We suggest timed text be a separate QC pass on its own.
Audio QC
Just like video unwanted noise or hits can be introduced at some phase it's journey or another. Average and peak levels may also not meet the requirements of the end platform. We suggest audio to be a separate QC pass as well. Especially if if there are multiple stems/sets of audio.(such as 5.1 surround and stereo)
Package type and metadata
Streaming platforms, broadcast networks and many others mostly have proprietary playout systems that require specific file types, configurations and metadata. We'll check it all to make sure it conforms.
